| Description:
The “Pandal” resembles the old Vishnu temple of Jalpaiguri. There will be an environment depicting the freedom movement and post independence situation. Inside there will be two “Asura” one of which resembles Englishman.
“Durga” slays him and set free “Bharatmata”
Based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay's Anandamath, the pandal depicts scenes from the freedom movement. Models of Mahatma Gandhi, Abul Kalam, Jawaharlal Nehru and Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay have been placed in the pandal. There is also a model of the cellular jail. The lighting is dominated by the colours of the Indian flag.
