| Description:
The theme is Durga's power, which finds its source in the Sun. To depict this, there will be one main pandal and seven smaller ones in the shape of the sun. The main pandal will have 17 wooden wheels to make it appesr like the sun's chariot. Around 2,500 horses made of various materials such as dokra, lac, terracotta, wood, patachitra and kantha stitch will adorn the pandal.One unique aspect of the idol is that Durga's lion has the face of a horse. The footmarks of Durga will be impressed with water on concrete. |
