| Description:
The pandal is modelled after a village temple located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The entire compound is dotted with small huts and shops like onesees near temples. In the backdrop are green hills. Creative advisor Rana Banerjee-phoolkuti was struck by a natural calamity that killed Several villagers. The king, Raja Serya Pratap Singha, performed a yajna to appease the gods and Devi Durga appeared to him in the avatar of Jagadamba. The fire of theyajna can be still seen in the temple. Durga is seen as a princess sitting on a throne inside the temple. |
